Phase 3 of the Ontario College of Teachers' Review of Teacher Qualifications

The Ontario College of Teachers is conducting a comprehensive review of teachers' qualifications to help ensure that teachers have the skills and knowledge to prepare students for success in the world of the 21st century. A key purpose of this comprehensive review is to examine how the preparation of new teachers and the continuing education of experienced teachers ensure that teachers have the skills and knowledge needed for the classrooms of tomorrow.

Phase Three of the Review focuses on qualifications as they pertain to the following groups of teachers:

• Teachers of Technological Education (pdf)

• Teachers of Native Ancestry and Teachers of Native Language as a Second Language (pdf)

• Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (pdf)
