Publicly-funded education in Canada is at a crossroads.

Social change, an evolving curriculum and rapid technological development are changing the way teachers teach and students learn. How educators, parents, students, employers and the community respond to this changing and complex environment will have a significant impact on Canada's future and well-being.

The CCQEO recognizes the need to identify programs and additional resources to support Canadian education.

Originally founded as the not-for-profit arm of the Ontario Public School Boards' Association in 1996, the Centre's mandate has evolved to include representatives from across the educational spectrum, as well as a number of community and business leaders, all of whom are united by a singular vision to deliver quality, accessible education for all Canadians.
