On June 27, 2016, the Ministry of Education announced that school boards will be receiving an additional $1.1 billion in new funding for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years. This new funding is being provided in an effort to address the urgent need of school repair and renewal. These additional funds will flow through the GSN for both years as part of the School Renewal Allocation and School Condition Improvement funding.
It is OPSBA’s understanding that a B memo will be issued to provide the board by board details.
