Ottawa-Carleton District School Board
Learning and Working Together with SHOPIFY
Over the course of several months various schools in our district took part in a great adventure learning and working with one of Canada’s largest e-commerce company, SHOPIFY. The Exit Outcome oriented project took place in five elementary schools and one secondary school.
Students were engaged in using a processing program that enabled them to work collaboratively to meet a common goal. Educators from all six schools attended a professional development ‘Teach the Teacher’ sessions. The sessions included how to use processing programs to incorporate the characteristics of our OCDSB Exit Outcomes. The project went hand in hand with the ‘learning everywhere’ initiative which has been adopted in a variety of our schools. We look forward to our next learning adventure in this partnership.
