OPSBA participated in an Advocacy Day at Queen’s Park on November 24, 2025, with members of Executive Council and senior staff attending Question Period and participating in meetings with Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs) from all parties (PC, NDP, Liberal, Green, and Independent). The purpose of this year’s Advocacy Day was to elevate their awareness of OPSBA, local democratically elected trustees, and the priorities in our briefing package (see below).

In lieu of the Ministry of Education conducting a formal consultation this year for Core Education Funding, OPSBA shared a “brief” that highlights key areas of funding challenges as well other recommendation to address funding inadequacies. Our Advocacy Day package also included a document entitled “What People are Saying about Trustees” that gives real life testimonies submitted through our Democracy is Not Outdated website.

Photos from the day are available on Instagram.
