About the Award
Purpose
Recognize school board staff and/or volunteers whose service directly advances OPSBA’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities at their local school board, especially in advocacy, inclusion, equity, sustainability, and student well-being.
Terms of Award
Selection Criteria
- Nominations must demonstrate clear impact in at least two of OPSBA’s Multi-Year Strategic Priorities
- Evidence of sustained or significant impact on students, staff, families, or the broader community (E.g., implementation of inclusive programming, environmental initiatives, partnerships advocacy efforts, or mental health supports)
- The nominee has taken initiative, led change, or introduced creative solutions to advance one or more strategic areas
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and putting students at the center of their work or volunteer efforts
Nomination Information Checklist
Eligibility
- Nominees must be current school board staff (E.g., teachers, support workers, administrative staff, custodians, etc.) or volunteers affiliated with an Ontario English public school board
- Contributions must directly support OPSBA’s Multi-Year Strategic Priorities
- Both individuals and groups/teams are eligible
