Trustees and senior board staff are invited to participate in the following webinar:
Equity and Access to Learning: A Panel Discussion with Canadian Leaders in Education co-hosted by CASSA, CSBA and Nelson
April 29, 2021, from 1 to 2 p.m.
As partners in Canadian education, we have provided flexible and ongoing support to our schools and communities during mass-closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This crisis has exacerbated social inequities and highlighted the gap between those who have access to technology, learning, and parental support and those who do not. This panel discussion will offer a forum for conversation between representatives from the Canadian School Boards Association (CSBA), the Canadian Association of School Supervision Association (CASSA) and Nelson Education. We welcome you to join these various stakeholders for a discussion of equity and access to learning during this pandemic, with a focus on discussion and reflection on forward direction to support continuous improvements on the future of education – now!
Moderator: Mike Borgfjord – Superintendent, Seine River School Division| Scolaire Rivière Seine
Panelists (in order of sharing):
- CSBA President Laurie French
- Dr. Vivian Aboud
- Christopher Fuzessy
- Zoe Watson
The panel discussion will be recorded, and all registrants will have access to view this until the end of July, 2021. For more information and to register, click here.
