“We’re pleased to see the relaxing of public health restrictions on all student extracurricular activities, including sports, bands, and choirs. Attending school in-person is crucial for the optimal development of the vast majority of our students and we are already seeing the positive results of this. Extracurricular activities are also an important part of the school experience for many, many students, giving children and youth opportunities to develop lifelong skills, passions, and often friendships.
We look forward to continuing our work with the government in ensuring a safe school experience while also moving schools much closer to normal over the coming days, weeks and months.”
