OPSBA celebrates another successful Public Education Symposium

OPSBA’s 2018 Public Education Symposium was held from January 25 to 27 at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto, in partnership with the Association des conseils scolaires des écoles publiques de l’Ontario (ACÉPO).

Featuring outstanding speakers, including Professor Yong Zhao of the University of Oregon and University of Kansas, Kevin Lamoureux of the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, Dr. Hayley Hamilton of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and Minister of Education Indira Naidoo-Harris, the conference provided an engaging and informative professional development opportunity for more than 210 public school trustees and senior staff.

In addition, Upper Grand DSB Trustees Bruce Schieck and Susan Moziar were awarded the OPSBA President’s Award for 27 years of service to the students and parents of Ontario.
